Step Flashing

Aluminum Step Flashing
Stepflashing is normally a 6" x 7" sheet of coated aluminum bent in the center; then integrated into the shingles in a "stepped" fashion.  When installed properly, the flashing forms a tight seal between the wall and the roofing surface -- and no sealant or "tar" is necessary.
