Remove existing one layer of existing shingles down to the roof deck. Inspect subroofing. If any wood is damaged it will be replaced at $2.25 per sq.ft. NOTE: Two sheets of plywood are included in the total price below. Install new Berger Synthetic underlayment to cover entire roof before reroofing. Replace existing chimney flashing and reseal. N/C Replace existing step flashing and reseal. No extra charge. Replace plumbing vent collars with new neoprene and aluminum units. Paint pipes.
Fascia: Install 14' of 1 x 6 painted white on upper rear of home. Any additional fascia will be installed at $6.00 per linear foot.
Gutter: Install 56' of 5" gutter and downspout on front of home.
Flashing: Install custom aluminum flashing in place of old chimney flashing.
Winter Guard: WinterGuard "Ice and Water Shield" will be installed in the following areas: At the edge of all eaves. Around all pipe and fan penetrations. Around the chimney, before reflashing. On the lower carport, adjacent to second story wall.
Drip Edge: White aluminum drip edge will be installed on all eaves, approx. 127'.
Bathroom Vent: Bathroom vent that is now vented to gable vent will be vented to roof with 3" flexible ducting and new aluminum vent housing will be installed on roof.
Soffit Ventilation: On upper level of home, install 2 1/4" round aluminum vents every 2' on center (between the roof trusses). There is no access to be able to do this on the lower level.
Gable vents: "Block off" three gable vents by installing 1/2" plywood on interior of attic space directly over the existing vent.
Ventilation: Install 56' of Metal Ridge Vent, Black, on main roof and lower carport roof of house.
Shingles will be Certainteed Horizon 30 year. Install shingles according to manufacturer's specifications using approved nails. Total number of squares being applied = 22 Color will be: Certainteed Corp. warrants shingles for 30 years. Home Restorations warrants workmanship against leaks for ten (10) years.
Great care will be taken not to damage plants and shrubs. Clean gutters and respike where necessary after reroofing. All roof related debris will be removed from job site and hauled away. A "drag magnet" will be used to pick up stray nails after installation. Permit price is included in job price. Home Restorations is licensed, bonded, and insured - MD Home Improv. License # 74066.
We Propose to furnish material and labor to complete the work in accordance with above specifications for the sum of:
All material is to be installed as specified. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices. Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra cost will be executed only upon written orders and will become an extgra charge over and above the estimate. All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents, or delays beyond our control. Owner to carry fire, tornado and other necessary insurance. Our workers are covered by Workman's Compensation Insurance. We are covered by Public Liability Insurance.
Acceptance of Proposal - The above prices, specifications, and conditions are satisfactory and are hereby accepted. You are authorized to do the work. Payment will be made by me as outlined above. This proposal good for 15 days.
